Mr. Rippe was President and CEO of Squier Associates prior to its merger with Kleinfelder, his previous employer. After a short retirement, he now serves as Chief Geotechnical Engineer at PBS Engineering and Environmental in Portland, OR. Prior to PBS, he was a member of the Technical Resource Council of Kleinfelder for geotechnical engineering. He also served as a Principal In Charge of major projects undertaken by the firm. Mr. Rippe is a Past President of the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers and is also a Past President of Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Some of his major regional projects have included: Columbia Sough Consolidation Conduit and Tunnel, Lake Tappe Dams Seismic Stabilization Project, Westside Corridor Light Rail Transit, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) CMRR, Portland Regional Water Source Options Study and Portland Water Bureau Seismic Hazards Evaluation.
