Dr. Anderson was CH2M HILL's enterprise wide practice director for geotechnical, foundation and tunnel engineering. He has recently taken a position at HNTB where he is a part of the firm's Corporate Ventures Group. He has more than 31 years of experience in geotechnical, geo-environmental, and materials engineering and management of projects. His expertise includes the design and construction of earth dams, embankments, tailings impoundments, water storage reservoirs, flood control channels and impoundments, mining structures, wastewater treatment plants, bridges, pavements, railroads, airfields, transmission lines, pipelines, solid and hazardous waste disposal sites, cogeneration facilities, pumped storage projects, fossil and nuclear power plants, commercial and industrial buildings, underpinning, permanent and temporary earth retaining structures, waterfront structures, and offshore oil production platforms. Dr. Anderson's experience also includes investigation of building and foundation failures, vibration monitoring studies, investigation of slope failures, earthquake engineering and soil dynamics studies, and design of construction monitoring systems. He is also a member of the Civil Engineering Certification, Inc. Board of Trustees.
